Perhaps you have wanted to invent something new but did not know where to begin. Or you have tried methods for creating products, startups, organizations, or technologies and found that they helped develop an idea once you had one, but said little about where the idea itself comes from.
Perhaps the change you want to make is not a product at all. It might be a policy, an economic mechanism, a social intervention, or a technology—and the existing answers have felt too shallow.
Imagine Next grew from a simple question: if the body can be trained beyond what once seemed possible, can inventiveness be trained too?
Over 616 days, Julia Daviy created 365 innovation concepts. From that practice emerged the Ignition Loop, a method for inventiveness that begins before the idea itself—with attention, curiosity, and the ability to notice what others pass by.
The book also includes an Atlas of 365 concepts, each ending with an open Imagine Next question designed to help another idea begin.
You do not need to know what you want to invent yet. You can begin by learning how to notice what might be worth inventing.
