Developing the theoretical foundations for next-civilization systems
My academic work integrates organizational ecology, sustainability transitions, complexity science, and socio-technical systems design. My recent SSRN publication Symbiotic Civilization introduces the Planetary Coherence Index — a framework for evaluating innovations by their alignment with ecological, social, cultural, and economic systems.
I am currently expanding this research through studies in:
Planetary systems design and governance
Socio-ecological coherence metrics (PCI)
Innovation architectures for regenerative economies
Indigenous knowledge systems and Amazon field research
Systems transitions in Ukraine’s energy transformation
Symbiotic Civilization: A Measurable Framework for Planetary Coherence and Regenerative Intelligence
SSRN Working Paper (2025)
This foundational publication introduces the Planetary Coherence Index (PCI) — a first-of-its-kind framework for evaluating innovations, institutions, and socio-technical systems by their alignment with ecological, cultural, economic, and social coherence.
It outlines the theoretical architecture behind Symbiotic Civilization, a paradigm for governance and innovation that enables planetary and societal regeneration.
A research-based series analyzing systems failures, regenerative transitions, resilience economics, and coherence-based innovation across global contexts.
Key publications include:
A conceptual introduction to two original frameworks for accelerating climate adaptation and regenerative innovation through economic arbitrage and systems-speed coordination.
A strategic analysis of next-wave technologies with the potential to shift entire economic and ecological systems toward coherence and resilience.
The Atlas and Method of Planetary Innovation - "Imagine Next"
(Book: 2025 — Select concepts will be released as an SSRN preprint)
Born from a research-through-design experiment, this work presents 365 original innovation concepts across energy, materials, AI, food systems, mobility, water, biodiversity, and governance.
The book introduces the Method of Planetary Innovation — a methodology for imagination and concept creation grounded in systems design and regenerative logic.

IMAGINE NEXT: The Atlas and Method of Planetary Innovation
I’m thrilled to share that my upcoming book, IMAGINE NEXT: The Atlas and Method of Planetary Innovation (365 Concepts to Train Imagination and Inventiveness for a Regenerative World), is opening for pre-orders. This book is the result of my almost two-year journey to create and collect 365 innovation concepts and a blueprint for how we can reimagine energy, food, water, materials, and systems for a regenerative future. The first readers to sign up below will receive a promo code for a free copy of IMAGINE NEXT when it releases.
Inventor. Entrepreneur. Architect of Sustainable Systems
Julia Daviy is a systems architect and civilization strategist designing frameworks for planetary-scale innovation, intelligence, and governance.
Her work bridges advanced technology, ecological design, and economic systems to prototype what she calls Symbiotic Civilization — a new paradigm of planetary coherence and systemic regeneration.
As co-founder of Ibcentre, she helped advance the renewable-energy sector in emerging European markets by contributing to household solar policy, supporting early renewable-infrastructure projects in Ukraine, and developing industry platforms across seven countries including SEF, CISOLAR, and Solar Academy.
She later pushed the boundaries of digital manufacturing, inventing the world’s first large-format 3D printer for flexible clothing and launching Imageneria, a NASDAQ-recognized platform for distributed, low-emission production, for consumer goods. Today, as Founding Director of the Sustainable Innovation Council and a Venture Partner, Julia Daviy applies this entrepreneurial and inventive track record to building planet-first systems that accelerate the transition to a regenerative economy.
